China beats America: Chinese super computer declared world’s fastest
Tianhe-2 computer almost double the speed as current U.S. world record holder Titan machine
- It can perform 33,860 trillion calculations per second
- The super computer was Tianhe-2 developed by China’s National University of Defense Technology in central China’s Changsha
- The ordinary computer performs nearby 100 million calculations per second
The semiannual TOP500 official listing of the world’s fastest supercomputers unveiled on Monday
