Asus might take a phone to the US in 2014, says chairman!
Asus chairman Jonney Shih speaks his company is working hard on a phone that could possibly come to the US by 2014. In a talk with All Things D, Shih admitted that “for the phone, forthrightly speaking, we are still the latecomers,” though Asus was getting closer to changing that. Asked about whether a phone might see US release in 2013, Shih suggested a later date: “I think next year is more reasonable.” Asus is known for producing the transforming Pad fone, a smaller phone that docked into a larger tablet, but it’s also produced the massive, tablet-like fone Pad and a rather smaller counterpart. Shih didn’t, though, give any clues as to what we could see stateside.

Today is the worse day for the Ex Birmingham City & Club America striker Christian ‘Chucho’ Benitez has died at the age of 27 a day after playing for Qatari football club El Jaish. He was suffering from a cardiorespiratory arrest. The Ecuador Football Federation (FEF) Said about his condition on the website: “Benitez,
Had a severe stomach pain, which was why he was rushed to a hospital, where after a few hours suffered he suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest, which ended his life.
“The Ecuadorian Football Federation extends its heartfelt sympathy to the family – parents, wife, children – and friends of our striker Christian Benitez. “May he rest in peace”
Benitez, who scored 24 goals in 58 appearances for the Ecuadorian national team, had joined El Jaish in Qatar earlier this month.
A statement released by his club read: “The club would like to offer its sincere condolences to the family of the player.
“Benitez had recently joined the club from Club America for three seasons. The player participated for the first time with the team during yesterday’s match against Qatar Sports Club in the Sheikh Jassem Cup without complaining of any health problems.
